Quotes To Live By

Quote #16: Featuring Michelle Bahr

Hi, I'm Michelle Bahr, Director of Special Education at the Midland County Educational Service Agency and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that resonates with me as an educator is "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." This quote is often credited to Benjamin Franklin, but on further investigation, it is also credited to Xun Kuang, a Chinese Confucian philosopher in the book Xunzi. The reason I find this quote so meaningful is due to my background in education and understanding how important a hands on approach is to learning. This quote supports my wellbeing because it reminds me that all children and adults learn differently, and research has proven how there are many effective strategies for success. This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Thank you for reading!
